Law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty in Massachusetts

Sergeant John H. Gilbert Age: 43 years old Tour: 16 years Brockton Police End of Watch: Thursday, March 8, 1984
Sergeant John Gilbert was struck and killed by a drunk driver while working a road detail at the intersection of North Cary Street and Court Street.

Sergeant Gilbert had served with the agency for 16 years. He was survived by his wife and two children.
