Law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty in Massachusetts

Officer Joseph W. Lawlor Jr Age: 27 years old Tour: 2 years North Andover Police End of Watch: Friday, March 27, 1981
Patrolman Lawlor died of carbon monoxide poisoning while sitting in his patrol car. The vehicle's rear-most section of the tailpipe was missing, allowing fumes to seep into the vehicle.

Patrolman Lawlor was survived by his wife and three young sons. All three of Patrolman Lawlor's sons went into law enforcement.
