Law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty in Massachusetts

Patrolman Francis J. O'Grady Age: 44 years old Tour: 5 years Belmont Police End of Watch: Tuesday, February 24, 1914
Patrolman O'Grady was struck by a train and killed. Patrolman O'Grady was wearing earmuffs because of the extreme cold and could not hear an approaching train. While walking on the tracks he slipped and as was struck by a train as he attempted to get up.

Patrolman O'Grady had been with the agency for five years and was survived by his wife and ten children.
